The images below give a 360-degree view of Randy Groves newest sculpture, launched at the 2007 History Meets the Arts Week in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

It depicts the legendary Civil War hero about to make the famous charge down Little Round Top, thereby saving the entire Federal army. His men being completely out of ammunition led Col. Chamberlain to order a rare bayonet charge which swept the Rebels from the field.

Randy Groves' new sculpture of Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain has been commissioned by The Gettysburg Frame Shop and Gallery.

The figure is looking over his shoulder at the men in line beside him giving the order to fix bayonets as he prepares to draw his sword and lead the charge.

The 8" tall figure has one foot up on the stone breastworks and, with the addition of Round Top and the base the total height is 10" high.

The work is available to order in bronze and pecanwood  ($150) from Southwood Sculpture
